1. Scope

A free consultation by phone, email or in person if you live in Ottawa or surrounding area. Together, we will discuss the objectives of the website, create a plan and discuss costs.

2. Proposal

With all of the criteria laid out, the project is divided into task blocks and you will be sent a detailed quote, outlining everything to be developed.

3. Agreement

Once you have approved, you will be sent a contract outlining all the terms of the agreement. Both the client and Skiy design sign the contract and retain a copy. A deposit is paid at this time.

4. Input

At this point you will email us a few links to websites you like, and a few for websites you don't like. This will help to determine the direction to take with your site. We will also discuss some colour schemes and possibly some elements to go into the design. If a client has an existing brand/image we will ensure that the website supports and extends that brand.

5. Prepare Content

Now it is time for you to finish preparing the content for your website to send to us. This includes text, logos, marketing material, business cards, photos etc. Content can be sent by mail or email.

6. Concept & Structure

While you are preparing content, Skiy Design will be mapping out the structure of the site, to create an architecture that is intuitive for users to navigate. We will also create a concept drawing of the site. You will provide us with feedback, communicating what you like and dislike. We will go back and forth with drafts several times, until we get it just right.

7. Populate

Once the concept and the structure are finalized, the actual website creation begins. The concept drawings are turned into real web pages populated with the content you have provided. Search Engine Optimization, Forms and other special features that we have agreed upon are also incorporated.

8. Review & Launch

The site is now complete and you will review it and sign off when everything looks good. Skiy Design will upload the site to your server and voila! You are live. We will submit the site to the major search engines and you can now pay the final bill. If you are happy with our work we would love for you to recommend us to your friends and colleagues.
